  It takes a very extreme (good or bad) experience for me to leave a review. We wanted to try Carmella's because we've never been. Our party of 6 all ordered our drinks without a problem. We received our drinks and ordered food. The waitress raved about the house garlic dressing so we all ordered it. This is where it goes downhill. Every person at the table finished their drink before we saw the waitress again. Finally she came back and we ordered another round. Our side salads came out 45 minutes after ordering at which point we were told they were out of the garlic dressing we heard so much about. An hour after ordering we still hadn't received our food. A very chippy young man came out to our table and offered his apologies and a gift card for our troubles. We were told the kitchen was backed up due to the restaurant being full (I could see 8 open tables). Finally , an hour and 18 minutes after ordering and NOT receiving food we decided to leave. I will however consider another visit to Carmella's with a response from somebody that works there.

  Service is very good. Nice cozy setting, music great, nice bar area with televisions. The utensils and seating area very clean. Food is fresh and delicious; had the bruschetta and bread along with a spinach and walnut grilled chicken salad. Everything was perfect!

  Unfortunately, our first visit to Caramella's will also be our last. The restaurant seemed to be incredibly short staffed; our waiter was also the bartender. We waited for over 45 minutes just to get our ice water. 3 times our waiter tried to deliver us salads that belonged to other tables before he got ours right. We arrived and we were seated at 6:43 p.m. Our food was delivered to our table at 7:45! It was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. We love to support local business, but our experience here will keep us away.
